Join us in conversation with the educators from various countries as they will share their personal perspectives on education, their best practices of photography education that they have done, the challenges they face including to move classes to online platforms during the pandemic Covid-19 and access to the potential collaboration in strengthening photography ecosystem in their respective cities.
The interactive conversation will be conducted on Zoom, free of charge with limited participants.

Daniel Boetker-Smith (https://dbs.dunked.com) is an educator, writer, curator, publisher, and photographer based in Melbourne. Daniel is the Dean of Studies at Photography Studies College (Melbourne), the oldest, independent photography educational institution in Australia. He has been a lecturer for the past 15 years,and has previously taught and guest lectured worldwide, also a regular contributor to the international publications. Daniel is also the Director of the Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive, a not-for-profit library of self-published and independent photobooks and regularly speaks at festivals and symposia internationally on the subject of photobooks, photographic publishing, & self-publishing in the Asia-Pacific area.
Tanzim Wahab is a curator and teacher. He is the chief curator at Bengal Foundation, Dhaka and his practice has been focused on the alternative art education across South Asia. Tanzim was the vice principal of Pathshala South Asian Media Institute and curator of Chobi Mela Photography Festival, Dhaka at the editions of 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019. He has been a fellow of several programs, including Art for Social Change, USA and Art Think South Asia (ATSA), India among others. Tanzim currently teaches photography at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute.
Taufan Wijaya is a lecturer in Journalism Department at Universitas Multimedia Nusantara. He started his career as a photojournalist for daily newspaper and earned his master degree at Ateneo de Manila University. He writes photography reference books, publishes couple photobooks. Currently, Taufan is also active as independent photographer, jury, and curator.
Yusni Aziz is a photographer and writer based in Jakarta. He completed his postgraduate studies in architecture at Berlage Institute, The Netherlands. His works mainly focus on self, people, travel, urban and land-related issues. His works have been published by The Guardian, DestinAsian Indonesia, PHmuseum, Tempo, and many more. He has also exhibited at Photoville, USA and Wisdom Photo Exhibition at Erasmus Huis, Jakarta. He is the co-founder of “Heterogenic”, an online photography platform for Indonesian storytellers.
