This one day photography workshop focuses on narrative storytelling and the importance of good sequencing. Join the workshop if you are a photographer/ photography student who want to strengthen your editing skills, specifically selecting and sequencing images in a story.
The workshop contains :
- Key aspects of visual storytelling / narration
- Tips on how to structure strong narratives
- Practical editing exercises for various outputs
To apply send in your contact details together with an example of a recent/ ongoing photography story to info@pannafoto.org. The participants are requested to bring a photo story to the workshop with a maximum of 50 images (in print). The maximum amount of participants are 12. The participants are required to have a basic level of conversational skills in English.
About the trainer:
Rebecca Simons is an independent photography editor, educator and curator born in Finland and situated in Holland. Between 2009 – 2016 Rebecca was employed by World Press Photo as Senior Producer & Project Manager. As an editor and curator Rebecca works mostly on exhibitions and online publications. Since 2005 she has been teaching photography mainly in Finland and Holland and through international workshops, focusing on storytelling and editing.
